My only, only complaint is that these hotspots never come with unlimited data.

We have a farm, on a major U.S. interstate (about 1/ 2 mile away), 1 mile outside of a major U.S. city and cannot get wired (DSL, Cable, Fiber) high speed internet to save our lives. We had a very expensive T-1 line (about $380/mo), which was 1.5 up/down, but cannot even find a provider to service it. The speeds on this at the farm are about 15MB/6MB. I did not buy mine through amazon but went to an AT&T store, but I had to go to 3 before I could find one. It has only been out since 10/2013. It is made by netgear, and I have had other netgear products and been reasonably happy with them. I tried a mi-fi model for about 3 days and it was very glitchy, shut down a lot. This one is heavier, and more solid and after 1 month of use I have had no problems with it. I got the 10 MB plan to start which runs about $80/month. I have also used it in traveling, and as yet have had no problems with reception.

I am very happy with it, but also see that AT&T is quickly abandoning its old wired networks and leaving them to rot. I am lucky to have reception in my rural spot.
